Holden McNeil: I used to think life was all about me. I was the hero of my own story, a Bruce Wayne of one lifelong issue of Detective Comics, so for speak. And then that kid came along and suddenly you realize you’re not Bruce Wayne anymore. You’re Thomas Wayne. Or Bruce Wayne’s mom, whose name escapes me.

Jay & Silent Bob Reboot

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is the film that we are discussing today. Written and directed by Kevin Smith this film wraps up the trilogy of films. With these characters that we have been familiar with for a long while. In this version Jay and Silent Bob end up accidentally signing away their names and rights for the new Bluntman and Chronic movie. Alas, as they head to Hollywood to block the film production they uncover some big news for Jay.

This film delights fans by bringing our favorite characters that we have followed to this next chapter. In addition, Kevin has invited a cast of his friends from Clerks, Dogma, Comic Book Men including; Joey Lauren Adams, Ben Affleck, Fred Armisen, Diedrich Bader, Melissa Benoist, Jason Biggs, Adam Brody, Ming Chen, Walter Flanagen, Bryan Johnson, Mike Zapcic, etc. It is a delightful feeling to watch our favorite characters come together. And to catch up with them and what they are up to and what nonsense they are getting themselves into.

Special thanks to our editor Geoff Vrijmoet for this episode and Melissa Villagrana for helping out with our social media posts.

Next week’s film will be Real Genius (1985)
